WASHINGTON, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- "American Idol" cast-off Jessica Sierra has been uninvited from performing at a musical event honoring U.S. troops in Washington Friday.
Sierra was booted from the lineup after news broke of her latest brush with the law, E! News reported.
The 22-year-old singer was being held at a Tampa, Fla., jail, until at least her next hearing Dec. 20, after she allegedly went on a drunken rampage at a nightclub earlier this month.
She has pleaded innocent to charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest.
"While we appreciate Ms. Sierra's past efforts to support U.S. troops, including performing for them in Iraq on Independence Day, it is quite obvious Ms. Sierra needs to devote a great deal of time to putting her life back together," retired Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson said in a statement.
E! News said Sierra's attorney declined to comment on the report.
After pleading no contest to charges of felony battery and drug possession last month, the singer was sentenced to 12 months' probation and random drug testing.
The alleged behavior that led to her most recent arrest reportedly violates the terms of her probation.
