LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- British author J.K. Rowling came out at No. 1 on U.S. TV personality Barbara Walters' list of 2007's "Most Fascinating People."

Rowling released "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the seventh and final novel in her blockbuster boy wizard series, and saw the successful release of the fifth hit "Harry Potter" film this year.

Also making Walters' year-end list are Victoria and David Beckham, Justin Timberlake, Katherine Heigl, Jennifer Hudson, Don Imus, Bill Clinton and Hugo Chavez.

"I think it is a great list because we have people from business, we have people from politics, we have movie stars, we have sexy stars, we have singing stars," Walters told "Access Hollywood."
