LONDON, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Music producer Mark Ronson says British singer Amy Winehouse was happy to hear she was nominated for six Grammy Awards.

"She's good," Ronson, who produced much of Winehouse's "Back to Black" CD, told People magazine. "I called her today (Thursday) because the record was something that we went through together ... Hopefully, she will get into America so we can celebrate."

An arrest for pot possession in Norway in October could keep the troubled recording artist from being able to get a visa to travel to the United States for the Grammy Awards ceremony.

"Amy doesn't get excited about anything," Ronson told People. "She was never once excited while in the studio. And today she is just like, 'Yeah, Ronnie, chops, we got Grammy nominations.' That's her. But she is happy and psyched."

Winehouse last week canceled the remaining dates on her British tour because of health issues and heartache over the recent incarceration of her husband.

Amid persistent reports Winehouse is battling addictions to drugs and alcohol, a representative for Winehouse told the Times of London she is now under the care of physicians, adding, "Amy and her family ask that her privacy is respected during this difficult time."
