STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- A new $31 million museum dedicated to the Swedish pop music super-group ABBA is slated to open in Stockholm in June 2009.
The three-floor complex will feature a disco and a wardrobe room devoted to the band's iconic fashions, as well as a studio where fans can make their own recordings of ABBA tunes, the BBC said Friday.
Members of the band are contributing costumes, musical instruments and other memorabilia to the museum, but are not formally involved with its creation, the report said.
Although the quartet broke up in 1982, many of their songs are still wildly popular today, thanks, in part, to the stage musical "Mamma Mia!" which features a number of ABBA hits, including "Dancing Queen," "Super Trouper," "Honey Honey," "Knowing Me Knowing You" and "The Winner Takes it All."
