LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- The Writers Guild of America's East and West divisions have selected dates to announce nominations for the 2008 WGA Awards, the guild said Thursday.
Nominations for outstanding achievement in television and radio writing during 2007 will be revealed Dec. 13, said a statement posted on the guild's Web site. Film nominees will be announced Jan. 10.

The 2008 Writers Guild Awards are slated to be held Feb. 9, simultaneously at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles and the Hudson Theatre at the Broadway Millennium Hotel in New York, the statement said.
The WGA has been on strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers since Nov. 5.
