LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Former "Friends" and "Studio 60" star Matthew Perry has signed on to play a man who wakes up to find he is a teenager again in the new U.S. movie, "17."

Perry will play an adult version of "High School Musical" and "Hairspray" heartthrob Zac Efron in the comedy about a father who gets younger, then attends classes at his children's school so he can stay close to them, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

Production is slated to begin early next month, the trade paper said.
