
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Race-car driver Helio Castroneves and his partner have been declared the winners of the latest edition of the U.S. competition series "Dancing with the Stars."
The pair earned a perfect score for their last performance, a dazzling quick step, on Tuesday night's finale.
Before the final results were announced Castroneves said the experience would have been worth it even if he didn't win.
"I've been through so much pain and so much work," he said. "I have to say, I would do it all over again without even thinking."
Castroneves and partner Julianne Hough ultimately beat out fellow competitors Spice Melanie Brown" class="tpstyle">Girl Melanie Brown and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy for the honor.
Upon learning he and his partner won the coveted mirror ball trophy, Castroneves said, "This is an incredible moment right now."
