LONDON, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse won't perform live or make promotional appearances for the rest of the year, the Sun reported Tuesday.
Winehouse was to perform eight gigs by the end of the year.
"The rigors involved in touring and the intense emotional strain that Amy has been under in recent weeks have taken their toll," said a statement issued by the singer's management.
"In the interests of her health and well-being, Amy has been ordered to take complete rest and deal with her health issues. Amy says: 'I can't give it my all onstage without my Blake. I'm so sorry, but I don't want to do the shows half-heartedly. I love singing. My husband is everything to me and without him it's just not the same.'"
Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was refused bail and ordered last week to stay in England's Pentonville Prison until January.
He is accused of perverting the course of justice by offering alleged victim James King payment to withdraw his claim that Fielder-Civil assaulted him, and leave the country.
Both Fielder-Civil and Winehouse have reportedly been battling addictions to drugs and alcohol for some time.
