Superman heartthrob weds in California

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Movie Man of Steel Brandon Routh married his longtime girlfriend Courtney Ford -- not Lois Lane -- at the El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif.

The "Superman Returns" actor and his bride walked down the aisle Saturday, four years after they met at hip Hollywood bowling alley Lucky Strike, People magazine reported. Routh was working there as a bartender and met Ford when her brother had his wedding rehearsal dinner party there.

Routh, 28, reportedly proposed to Ford, whom he has called his personal kryptonite, last summer in Glastonbury, England, but the pair kept their engagement a secret, the magazine said.

Ford wore a Junko Yoshioka sheath dress and Neil Lane diamond earrings, People magazine said. Routh wore a Looysen Fine Clothing cashmere suit.
