Argentina will get its 'Spice'

LONDON, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- The Spice Girls have not canceled their upcoming concert in Argentina, contrary to Internet reports that they had called it off.

Several Web sites ran a false story saying the planned concert in Buenos Aires was canceled because of high demand for British and U.S. performances, the BBC reported Sunday. The erroneous story also announced a fake competition for fans to win a trip to a performance in Britain.

A spokesman for the group said the story was "fake" and that they are working to schedule a February performance in the Argentine capital.

The Spice Girls world tour is slated to begin Dec. 2 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
