LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Dennis Quaid's newborn twins are in stable condition after they were given an overdose of the anti-coagulant heparin at a Los Angeles hospital, TMZ.com said.

Born Nov. 8 via surrogate, the babies were each reportedly given 10,000 units of the drug by mistake last weekend at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Babies prescribed heparin typically get 10 units, the report said.

TMZ.com said both infants started to "bleed out" Sunday night and are now in the neo-natal intensive care unit where they were listed in stable condition.
