TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sierra has been sentenced in Florida to 12 months probation for possessing cocaine and throwing a glass at a bar patron.
Circuit Judge Gregory Holder also ordered Sierra, 22, to submit to random drug screening, The Tampa Tribune reported Tuesday.
Sierra, whose rehabilitation experience has been captured on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew," pleaded no contest to the drug charge and to felony battery.
She also must complete her drug-rehab after-care program, pay restitution to the person she hit above the eye with a bar glass and seek permission from her probation officer before traveling, the Tribune said.
The criminal charges will remain on Sierra's record, but she will not be considered a convicted felon if she completes her sentence without incident.
"Celebrity Rehab" is slated to premiere Jan. 10
