Jason Wahler says jail changed him

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Reality-TV star Jason Wahler says his 18-day jail stint sobered him up and changed his life.

In an exclusive with People magazine, Wahler called jail "humbling" and said it made him reflect on his mistakes.

"It made me want to really focus on my career, said Wahler, 20. "I spent my time reading and studying the script for my upcoming film '10,000 Doors.' I am happy to be home with my family and friends and am thankful to them for

getting me through this rough time."

Wahler, a former star of the show "Hills," was sentenced in Washington state for assault and intoxication stemming from a fight at a Seattle hotel in April. Wahler has completed rehab and now is engaged to college tennis player Katja Decker-Sadowski, People magazine reported.
