Daughtry, Rascal Flatts win AMAs

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Daughtry and Rascal Flatts won the first two prizes at the 2007 American Music Awards show in Los Angeles Sunday.

Daughtry was named favorite breakthrough artist, beating out Plain White T's and Robin Thicke for the award.

Rascal Flatts earned the honor for favorite country band, duo or group. Also nominated in the category were Big & Rich and Brooks & Dunn.
