DETROIT, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Grammy-winning Detroit singer John Legend says he is working on his third album and getting his own Homeschool Records label started.

"We're really just starting," Legend told Billboard. "I'm usually pretty prolific and pretty quick with my output, so I'm guessing I'll be done with it by the end of the spring and put it out either late summer or early fall. That's what I'm headed toward."

Homeschool's first album is due out in February, the second by British singer Estelle. Legend told Billboard he is executive producer in addition to recording a duet with Estelle.

"I wrote with her on just about every track and ... made a lot of key decisions when it came to track selection, producers, getting the right people involved," he said. "I treated it almost like it was my own."

Legend said he has "three songs I love already" for his own album. "Once Again," released last year, had worldwide sales of 2.5 million.
