LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. soap opera star Cameron Mathison was eliminated from the television competition series "Dancing with the Stars."

"Not one single bit of me wanted to go home," Mathison, star of "All My Children," said Tuesday night.

"It's been an amazing journey and I loved every minute of it," his partner, Edyta Sliwinska, said. "I am truly, truly proud of Cameron."

The dance that led to the actor's downfall was the cha-cha.

"You hit the lines," judge Carrie Ann Inaba told him, but "the in-between movement is what you need to work on."

"That time was tough because I thought I did pretty well," Mathison told E! Online Senior Editor Marc Malkin following his performance. "I am an actor who is used to getting feedback on performances, so it's not so bad. Directors give us notes and we have to adjust accordingly. I am just not used to getting the feedback in front of 20 million viewers."

Still competing in the semifinals are Marie Osmond, Melanie Brown, Jennie Garth and Helio Castroneves.
