SIMI VALLEY, Calif., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Dozens of garments worn by former U.S. first lady Nancy Reagan are now on display at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.

"Nancy Reagan -- A First Lady's Style" is a year-long exhibit that opened to the public Saturday.

Featuring 80 ensembles highlighting Reagan's various roles as wife, hostess and public servant, the dresses are showcased on Size 2 mannequins created for the show, the Los Angeles Daily News reported.

"It's more than we ever imagined it could be," library spokeswoman Melissa Giller said. "It is about her essence."
