LONDON, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- British singer Amy Winehouse cried in a London courtroom where her husband was charged with conspiring to interfere with justice by offering hush money.

Blake Fielder-Civil was remanded to custody until Nov. 23 during a hearing Saturday. He was to stand trial Monday for involvement in an alleged assault on a London barman, The Independent on Sunday reported.

He later allegedly offered the barman about $418,000 to withdraw from testifying.

Winehouse blew kisses to her husband at court but looked away when the judge ruled.

Three other men were arrested in the same case, the newspaper said.
