LA aristocrat to represent Heather Mills

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- A self-styled Los Angeles aristocrat will take over as public representative for former model, and estranged wife of rock icon Paul McCartney, Heather Mills.

Mills' lawyers and public relations firm recently dropped her as a client. LA beauty salon owner Michele Elyzabeth will act as Mills' official worldwide representative, The Mail on Sunday reported.

Also known as Michele Blanchard, Elyzabeth previously served as Mills' U.S. representative -- until making an incorrect public statement about Mills' legal battle with McCartney.

Elyzabeth had claimed that a judge granted Mills full custody of the couple's daughter Beatrice, a statement that later proved to be untrue.

In her new role, Elyzabeth said Mills has been unfairly subjected to public criticism.

"I have immense respect for Heather and her work (in animal rights)," she told the newspaper. "She is sick, sick, sick of all the negative publicity."
