LONDON, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Police detained the husband of troubled troubadour Amy Winehouse for allegedly obstructing justice after a raid on their homes in east London.
Police arrested Blake Fielder-Civil, 25, on suspicion of obstruction in a case in which Fielder-Civil allegedly assaulted a local barkeep, The Telegraph reported Saturday.
Winehouse was in hysterics as police led her husband away. "I want to go with him," Winehouse screamed.
Police say a witness in the Fielder-Civil assault case allegedly was paid $400,000 in exchange for not cooperating with the investigation.
A spokesperson for Winehouse said the raid had "nothing to do with drugs."
Winehouse's relationship with alcohol and drugs are notorious, as indicated in her hit single "Rehab," which contains the lyric "they tried to make me go to rehab/I said no, no, no."
