Wahlberg in talks to star in 'Payne'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg is in talks to play the title character in "Max Payne," a live-action film version of the blockbuster "Rockstar" video game.

The movie is slated to begin shooting early next year, with "Behind Enemy Lines" and "The Omen" director John Moore at the helm, Variety.com reported.

Wahlberg will make the movie after he finishes Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones," the trade paper said.
