NEW YORK, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Police in New York say they have made an arrest in the beating death of Linda Stein, a former manager for The Ramones who became a realtor to the stars.

New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne told TMZ.com that charges are pending against Stein's former personal assistant, Natavia Lowery of Brooklyn.

Browne said Lowery "made statements implicating herself" in Stein's death.

Stein's daughter found her bludgeoned to death in her Manhattan apartment.

The medical examiner declared her death a homicide, stating Stein died of blunt force trauma to the head and neck.
