O'Donnell considering online chat show

NEW YORK, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Now that a new U.S. talk show on MSNBC seems unlikely, Rosie O'Donnell is considering new ways to connect with people via the Internet, People.com reported.

"I'm going to figure out a way to do a show here, in my blogville, because I really think it's the next way anyway," O'Donnell said in her latest video blog message, which was uploaded Friday to Rosie.com. "Who the hell wants to work for a company with three letters that's just going to get mad when you tell people what you're doing?"

Talks between the former moderator of "The View" and MSNBC ended this week.

Someone close to the discussions told The Los Angeles Times O'Donnell asked for a paycheck more appropriate for a broadcast network than a cable news operation.

The MSNBC gig would have marked O'Donnell's full-time return to television following her departure from "The View" in April, after a heated on-air argument with conservative panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
