NEW YORK, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- The Boston priest accused of stalking Conan O'Brien envies the success of former classmates, as well as his own father, friends told the New York Daily News.

The Rev. David Ajemian, 46, was scheduled to appear Friday in court in New York after undergoing psychological tests Thursday.

The priest, who is the son of Time magazine journalist Robert Ajemian, allegedly revealed disturbing ideas in letters sent to O'Brien, host of an NBC late-night talk show.

"I once went after my childhood nemesis, John McEnroe, too, and am still waiting for his confession," Ajemian allegedly confided in a letter to O'Brien, the News reported.

David Ajemian was arrested while trying to get into a taping of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."

He was charged with aggravated stalking and harassment and could face up to a year in prison if convicted.

The Boston Globe said it is unclear whether Ajemian and O'Brien knew each other from their Harvard days.

The News didn't say if Ajemian really knew McEnroe, a former tennis great.
