ABC still planning to air 'Lost' episodes

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- ABC still plans to kick off its fourth season of the hit supernatural drama, "Lost," in February, despite the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.

Fox recently announced it would put its suspense series "24" on hold until it is sure it can run the entire season without interruption.

So far, eight of 16 "Lost" episodes have been shot, Zap2it.com reported.

Executive producer Damon Lindelof has been quoted as saying that the eighth installment ends in a cliffhanger, indicating it might not be a bad place to take a break.

It is unclear how long fans might have to wait to see their favorite island-dwellers again, however.

Both Lindelof and fellow showrunner Carlton Cuse are walking the WGA picket lines and have pledged not to work at least until negotiations resume, Zap2it.com said.
