NEW YORK, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Danny DeVito dropped by the New York Marriott Marquis to show the wait staff how to properly mix and serve his new eponymous brand of Limoncello.
Nearly 50 employees and managers were on hand for the lesson Tuesday night.
DeVito and Richard DeCicco of Harbrew Imports, Ltd., who worked closely with the TV and film star to create a unique Limoncello, fielded questions about the liqueur and offered mixing suggestions and tips.
"This is the first time in the history of our industry that a celebrity has ever hosted a wait staff training. It's unprecedented, and this is major because of the magnitude of the Marriott account," DeCicco said in a statement.
DeVito made headlines last winter when he appeared inebriated and disheveled on the TV talk show "The View" after a night of drinking limoncellos with George Clooney.
