Stars flock to Nashville for CMA awards

NASHVILLE, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- The 41st annual Country Music Association awards show was under way at the Sommet Center in downtown Nashville.

The show opened with a performance by nominees Rascal Flatts.

Brad Paisley and George Strait lead the field of contenders with five nominations each, while Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss and Martina McBride each have four and John Rich, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban Score have three apiece.
