LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Jennifer Connelly has signed on to co-star in the remake of the 1951 sci-fi classic, "The Day the Earth Stood Still," Variety.com said Monday.
"The Matrix" and "The Lake House" star Keanu Reeves has already been hired for the movie to be helmed by "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" director Scott Derrickson.
Production on Derrickson's aliens-come-to-earth flick is slated to begin next month in Vancouver.
Connelly can now be seen in the big-screen drama, "Reservation Road." She is also still shooting the ensemble comedy, "He's Just Not That Into You."
