LAS VEGAS, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Gay singer Lance Bass has revealed to E! News that he married a girlfriend on a lark in Las Vegas seven or eight years ago.
"People do stupid things in the heat of the moment. I've been in Vegas where I've gotten married for, like, five minutes," the former 'N Sync singer recalled. "No one talks about that though."
Bass refused to name his bride, describing her as "just a friend of mine."
"You know it was one of those crazy moments where you're with a friend and you're like, 'Hey, wouldn't it be fun if we did this?' And that's all that happened. It's the Vegas thing to do," he said.
The 28-year-old singer declined to divulge when or how the marriage ended, but he did say: "We're friends. ... It's great."
Bass is on a publicity tour to support his new memoir, "Out of Sync," which hit stores Oct. 23.
