LONDON, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- "Walk the Line," the life story of U.S. country music icon Johnny Cash, has been named the greatest music bio-pic, a new poll showed.

More than 2,000 film fans were polled by the online DVD company Lovefilm.com.

Coming it at No. 2 was Eminem's "8 Mile"; followed by the Mozart bio-pic "Amadeus" at No. 3; "Ray," starring Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles at No. 4; and "The Doors," featuring Val Kilmer as tragic fron tman Jim Morrison at No. 5.

The most recent film in the top 10 was the Joy Division bio-pic "Control," which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and hit U.K. theaters earlier this month, the BBC noted.

"Film and music make a great partnership and have resulted in some of the best acting performances in film," said a spokeswoman for Lovefilm.com. "This poll showcases the very best the genre has to offer -- whether it be a portrayal of a foul-mouthed rapper, a Motown legend or a classical composer."

Topics: Jamie Foxx, Jim Morrison, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Val Kilmer
