Michelle Williams to star in 'Mammoth'

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Michelle Williams has signed on to star in "Mammoth," Swedish director Lukas Moodysson's first English-language film, Variety.com reported.

Williams, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in "Brokeback Mountain,"

and Gael Garcia Bernal, who starred in "The Motorcycle Diaries" and "Babel," will play a New York couple facing a crisis, the trade paper said.

The movie is to begin shooting Nov. 5 in Thailand. Production is to move on to the Philippines, Sweden and New York.
