LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said Friday actor Orlando Bloom will not face charges in connection with an Oct. 12 car crash.
Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's officer, told E! News there was insufficient evidence to charge Bloom with misdemeanor hit-and-run.
The district attorney's report said Bloom was being followed by four press-filled cars and a car full of fans at the time of the fender-bender crash.
The report indicates two pursuers attempted to cut off the black 2003 Toyota Matrix Bloom was driving, causing him to crash into a Porsche Cayenne parked on the side of the street.
A passenger in Bloom's car suffered a fractured neck and another sustained cuts from her seatbelt.
The report took into account paparazzi footage that showed Bloom walking approximately 60 feet away from the cars. However, the report said Bloom wasn't attempting to flee the scene, but rather trying "to avoid paparazzi's continued pursuit."
He returned to the crash site within moments.
An investigation into the paparazzi's potentially dangerous driving tactics remains open, E! News said.
