ATLANTA, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Rocker Kid Rock has been charged with battery after allegedly getting into a fistfight at a Georgia Waffle House.
The singer, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, stopped at the restaurant in DeKalb County, outside Atlanta, at about 5:15 a.m. Sunday after a performance, TMZ.com reported.
A customer allegedly started a yelling match with a woman who was with the singer, resulting in a brawl in the parking lot, the Web site said.
Five members of Ritchie’s entourage were also taken into custody, as was the customer, who was charged with a felony count of criminal damage to property for allegedly breaking a window at the Waffle House.
After bailing himself out of jail at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Ritchie mingled with fans on the way back to his tour bus.
