BERGEN, Norway, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- British soul singer Amy Winehouse was arrested in Norway for marijuana possession but she paid a fine and was released, People.com reported Friday.
Winehouse, her husband Blake Fielder-Civil and a male member of her touring party were arrested around 6 p.m. Thursday in Bergen's Radisson SAS Hotel by police acting on a tip, a police source told the magazine.
About 0.25 ounces of marijuana were found in the singer's room, they said.
The three were held for about 12 hours, fined and released.
Winehouse and Fielder-Civil paid a $714 penalty, while Alexander Foden, who creates Winehouse's hairpieces, paid a $500 fine.
"She paid the fine and she was released," a police source told People, adding that Winehouse and her husband were "very cooperative. It's over."
The arrest is the latest in a long list of drug-related scandals involving Winehouse.
Her parents and in-laws have publicly voiced concerns about her drug use, all of her U.S. appearances were postponed until 2008 and she was hospitalized for exhaustion during the summer.
Performing in Berlin this week, she seemed to stumble on stage and forget the words to the song she was singing, People.com said.
