NEW YORK, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A one-night-only concert inspired by the upcoming Bob Dylan film "I'm Not There" is being planned in New York.

The film has several actors -- including Christian Bale, Heath Ledger and Cate Blanchett -- playing different aspects of the iconic singer-songwriter.

In keeping with that theme, Michael Dorf Presents said an eclectic lineup of 16 artists will perform Dylan's songs at a benefit concert Nov. 7 at New York's Beacon Theater.

Michael Dorf founded the Knitting Factory in 1987 and has been one of the most prolific independent producers of eclectic music in New York since.

All net proceeds from the Dylan-inspired concert will go to benefit 826 National and 826 Valencia, non-profit groups that help students ages 6-18 with expository and creative writing skills, organizers of the event said.

The concert is sponsored by The Weinstein Company, Wolfgang's Vault, WFUV Radio and Search Party Music.

"I'm Not There," the film, will be released in theaters nationwide by The Weinstein Company Nov. 21.
