LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor John C. McGinley and his wife, Nicole Kessler, are expecting their first child together, People.com has reported.

"We're having a baby!" McGinley, who stars on the TV comedy, "Scrubs," told the magazine.

"I'll give you the inside scoop," he said. "We found out it's a baby girl, and she's coming Feb. 2. So that's our big announcement. That's our big thing."

McGinley, who also has a 10-year-old son, Max, from a previous marriage, said he hopes the new baby will be the first of many he and Nicole have together.

"Nicole and I want to have an army," he said. "You know, we want to have as many kids as we're lucky enough to have. I've always wanted to surround Max with brothers and sisters and that's what we're going to do."

McGinley and Kessler were married in Malibu on April 7.
