'Terminator' series to premiere Jan. 14

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- The Fox network has set a date to premiere the eagerly anticipated "Terminator" series on U.S. TV, Zap2it.com reported.

The two-hour first episode of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" is set to premiere Jan. 14, 2008.

The series stars "Possession" and "300" actress Lena Headey as heroine Sarah Connor and picks up where "Terminator 2" left off, pretending "Terminator 3" never happened, Zap2it.com said.

Thomas Dekker plays Sarah's son and humanity's eventual savior.

The cast also includes Summer Glau of "Firefly" and Richard T. Jones from "Judging Amy."
