LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Vanessa Hudgens is still in negotiations to star in a third "High School Musical" outing, despite reports she had been dumped by Disney.

OK! magazine reported the teen star had been ousted from the next "HSM" film because of an embarrassing nude photo scandal.

However, a representative for Hudgens told Access Hollywood the report was "totally untrue."

"It is an old rumor," the representative said. "OK! magazine never bothered to fact check with me, but they did call Disney, who said it wasn't true, but yet OK! ran it anyway. Apparently OK! magazine was having a slow news day."

A spokesperson for Disney also told Access they are still talking to the actress for the next installment of the wildly popular "HSM" franchise.

"We are still in negotiations with all of the 'High School Musical' stars," the spokesperson said.

Hudgens issued a public apology after privately taken nude photos of her surfaced on the Web last month.
