NEW YORK, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Two women have dropped their Florida lawsuit against "Girls Gone Wild" and its founder Joe Francis, Mantra Films said Monday.

Christina Brose and Brooke Patsolic have dismissed their claim that their "Wild" performance was videotaped without their permission after Francis released footage of both women giving their consent to producers.

GGW and Francis paid no money to the women but agreed not to sue them in exchange for a public apology, which the women issued in a statement.

While Patsolic and Brose were filmed in Orlando, Fla., they filed their lawsuit 400 miles away in Panama City, Fla., in front of the same judge who put Francis in jail for not settling a similar lawsuit, Mantra said.

Brose and Patsolic sued Francis personally, even though Francis wasn't in Florida when the filming took place.

"This is yet another example of false allegations that I have faced," Francis said in a statement. "I am tired of these lies being used against me in an attempt to extort money from me and destroy my name. I am prepared to fight back, and I will defend myself against all baseless allegations."
