NEW YORK, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Twenty-five years after Princess Grace was killed in a car accident, her life is being celebrated in New York with several exhibits and auctions.

The late Grace Kelly was an Oscar-winning actress and princess of Monaco.

Life magazine has devoted an entire issue of its "Great Photographers Series" to her and the issue of Town & Country, which hits stands Tuesday, will feature 30 pages of photos and interviews with Grace's three children and closest friends, the New York Daily News said.

Many of the princess's personal belongings will be on display for the first time in the United States at Sotheby's through Oct. 26.

They include an ensemble Grace wore to the 1955 Academy Awards, where she won the Best Actress Oscar for "The Country Girl," as well as the dress she was wearing when she first met Prince Rainier.

The free exhibit also offers a glimpse of her engagement ring, tiara, letters from Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Sinatra and Cary Grant and family photographs.

Those attending a gala Thursday can bid on some of Grace's gorgeous frocks.

Dresses inspired by ones Grace wore will also be displayed at Manhattan's Saks Fifth Avenue store from Friday through Oct. 26.
