MIAMI, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- A Miami lawyer has billed the estate of Anna Nicole Smith $200,000 for work dealing with Smith's funeral and her baby daughter, Dannielynn.

Attorney Richard Milstein, who was guardian ad litem for the infant for three weeks this year, billed the child's trust fund $900 per hour, The Palm Beach Post has reported.

Dannielynn's father, Larry Birkhead, and the executor of Smith's estate, Howard Stern, have filed a complaint in a Broward County court to stop Milstein from collecting.

"It's outrageous," said Nancy Hass, Birkhead's attorney. "I'm a guardian ad litem, too, and I always reduce my fees when I deal with children. A lot of work produced (by Milstein) was unnecessary."

Stern's attorney, Krista Barth added: "That's $900 an hour! People believe the baby is rich. Couldn't be further from the truth. Mr. Milstein even charged for another lawyer at his firm to go to Anna's funeral."

Milstein didn't return the Post's calls, but said by e-mail, "The three weeks of work entailed the work of five people, not just myself, in order to handle the multiple details involved in handling the trial and funeral arrangements."
