LONDON, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- England’s Spice Girls are proving nothing changes as rumors circulate the girl-power group is spatting months before their wildly anticipated reunion tour.
In early September, Geri Halliwell, known as “Ginger Spice,” caused a row when she released the name to the band’s new single, “Headlines (Friendship Never Ends),” on the British talk show GMTV.
The Daily Star cites an unnamed source as saying the other members of the group were “furious Geri has let slip the name of their new single.”
The British newspaper revealed Halliwell also is claiming the new single is largely her own work, citing an undisclosed source as saying “Geri is making it clear to all who listen that she wrote it with Emma Bunton and the others added their lyrics much later.”
The new single is scheduled for release in Britain Nov. 19.
