LONDON, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- American entertainment giants Brad Pritt and Angelina Jolie paid $2 million for a piece of graffiti art at auction in London’s Soho district Saturday.

The couple purchased the piece by England’s graffiti artist “Banksy” at the Lazarides Gallery in SoHo.

The auction featured works by such acclaimed artists as Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, with some valued at an estimated $20 million.

The Lazarides Gallery features contemporary artists and is run by photographer Steve Lazarides, who also is the agent for “Banksy.”

“The idea is to inject a little anarchy back in the staid, serious business of buying art," Lazarides, credited with bringing contemporary British pop art to vogue in Hollywood, told The Daily Mail,

Others at the auction included Dennis Hopper and Ashley Olsen, one of the acting Olsen twins.
