LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Mya Harrison, the American singer known simply as Mya, is providing an original song for the Lifetime television network’s breast cancer awareness campaign.

The song, “My Bra,” will be part of Lifetime’s 13th annual Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign. The song’s title is vernacular for “friend” in the breast cancer advocacy community.

The song is to be featured on the network's original movie, “Matters of Life & Dating,” starring Ricki Lake and Holly Robinson Peete.

Lifetime also plans to promote its campaign by releasing the song online through a popular music download forum and offering previews of the new made-for-TV movie starting Monday.

Mya, 28, is to perform her new single when Lifetime hosts its annual Heroes event in Los Angeles Oct. 16, Billboard magazine reports.
