SCRANTON, Pa., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Fanatical fans of Pam, Michael, Dwight and Jim are expected to descend on Scranton, Pa., this month for "The Office Convention."

"The time has come for 'The Office' fans to unite and the best place to do it is in Michael Scott's home -- Scranton," Tim Holmes, The Office Convention committee member said in a statement. "Think of it like a 'Star Trek' convention but with nerds wearing Dwight Schrute glasses instead of Spock ears."

The event is to take place Oct. 26-28 and will include appearances from scene-stealing supporting players like Angela Kinsey, Melora Hardin, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Creed Bratton, Kate Flannery, Mindy Kaling, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Andy Buckley and Bobby Ray Shafer.

Clothes from the series' wardrobe department will also be traveling to Scranton for display and the Scrantones, the band that performs the show's theme song and that made up Kevin's band Scrantonicity, are expected to perform.

A street festival and cast lookalike contest is also on the schedule.

Some events are free and open to the public, while others require limited-admission passes that range from $50 to $250.
