LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Billy Ray Cyrus says his U.S. pop star daughter, Miley, is upset ticket scalpers are driving the prices to her concerts up so far many fans can't afford them.

"She started calling her manager saying: 'This is about the fans. This is about the kids. I want all the kids to get into these shows,'" Billy Ray Cyrus told Inside Edition.

"It saddens us because our show is for the fans. Hopefully, they'll figure this out real soon and by the time Miley does her next tour, maybe they can eliminate the scalpers."

Miley Cyrus is the star of the wildly popular television series, "Hannah Montana."
