LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Sean Penn says his distaste for acting has grown through the years, E! Online reported Tuesday.
The Oscar-winning actor, who recently directed the movie "Into the Wild," expresses his views in the season premiere of the Sundance Channel's "Iconoclasts" series, set to air Oct. 25.
"Acting, I've gone from a love/hate relationship to a dark, bitter hatred unto itself -- no love at all," Penn said, adding long shoots drive him "out of (his) mind."
He also doesn't like being away from his family when he is on location and loathes early start times.
"I'm not a morning person," he confessed. "I'll get up in the morning, but I won't be around. My head's in the bed for a few hours no matter what I do the night before."
Penn said directing a film is different, though.
"I love the traveling circus part of it and the adventure you go on," he said.
