LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Lisa Kudrow has signed on to co-star in "Hotel for Dogs," a big-screen adaptation of Lois Duncan's 1971 children's book.

Kudrow, who is best-known for her role on television's "Friends," joins a cast that includes Emma Roberts and Don Cheadle, the Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.

The film is about two orphaned teenagers who secretly harbor nine stray dogs in an abandoned hotel.

Kudrow will play the foster mother of two siblings, one of whom is Roberts' character.
