Paltrow in Spain

MADRID, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning "Shakespeare in Love" actress Gwyneth Paltrow has started filming a TV series about her cross-country jaunt through Spain with three friends.

Paltrow and her companions will be seen exploring the culture and sampling the cuisine all over the country in the 13-part PBS series, slated to air in the United States next fall, the BBC has said.

Producer Charles Pinsky planned the itinerary "Spain ... On The Road Again" and Paltrow and Co. supposedly don't know where it will take them during the trip, which could take up to four months.

"I don't know what we are going to do but it is going to be fun," Paltrow told reporters in Madrid.

Miniature car-mounted cameras will film the travelers' reactions as they tour the country, soaking up the culture, the BBC said.

Paltrow, a 35-year-old, married mother of two, is fluent in Spanish after living with a family in the country as a student.

Accompanying Paltrow will be New York Times food critic Marc Bittman, chef Mario Batali and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols.
