NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Rita Cosby is standing by claims she made in her controversial biography, "Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death."
Howard K. Stern, the late Smith’s former lawyer and boyfriend, filed a $60 million libel lawsuit against Cosby Tuesday for the way she depicted him in the book.
"Although I have not been served with any papers in reference to a lawsuit, I stand by my investigation and fully believe in the justice system," Cosby told "Access Hollywood."
In the lawsuit filed in a U. S federal court in New York, Stern is seeking $50 million in punitive damages and $10 million in compensatory damages from Cosby and her publisher.
Cosby’s book alleges Stern and Larry Birkhead, the father of Smith's toddler daughter, had a sexual encounter and that the men teamed up to profit from Smith's death.
